• A two day UGC sponsored national seminar on “Juvenile delinquency in India –current trends” in January 2011 [jointly with departments of Journalism & mass communication and education
• Organized the North 24 parganas District level youth parliament and quiz competition at college premises in December 2015. The college secured 2nd place in both the competitions.
• Two teacher exchange programmes [with department of History] were held in December 2015 and February 2016
• Two interactive discussions on HIV/AIDS and malaria& dengue were held in December 2015 and February 2016 respectively
• Two quiz contests were organized in December 2015 and February 2016
• A debate on the topic “Women do not enjoy freedom in society” was organized in march 2016
• A demonstration lecture by a final year student was arranged in March 2016
