1) Department of Zoology processes biodiversity survey programme surrounding the college campus in a regular interval, not only that Department also inform to college authority in case of any probable biodiversity threatening condition.
2) Department organizes an exclusive session during our regular excursion to collect and manage the plastic and other non-biodegradable substance from natural environment to convey the beneficiary part of waste management to our students as well as to the local residents.
3) Our Department organizes vector control programme every year before monsoon to banish the mosquito population from our college campus.
4) Department provides a moral and value education for the conservation of water and light from the starting day of college and proudly it has been observed that students of this Department maintain this practice accurately.
1) The Department of Zoology offers all the practical courses, such as specimen identification, Ecological studies, Bio-Chemical analysis, Genetics and Molecular Biological experiments along with their theoretical parts as per the syllabus of West Bengal State University.
2) The Department has a beautiful specimen museum as well as all the practical equipments to precede the entire practical part accordingly.
3) We organize regular excursions to fulfill the practical of Ecology, Animal Behaviour, Wildlife & Conservation, Fish & Fishery as per the guideline of West Bengal State University.

1) Students of our Department participate in various types of academic, cultural and sports events in regular basis and Department provide soulful encouragements, moral supports and mentorship to them.
2) In the session 2018-19 students of Zoology Hons. acquired 1st and 3rd position in the poster competition organized by our college in Science Day Celebration Programme.
3) In the session of 2022-23 the students actively participated the Quiz Competitio, organized by West Bengal Pollution Control Board (PCB) and they secured first runner up position in this inter-college quiz competition.
4) The students of Zoology Hons. have participated a quiz competition on the occasion of National Environment day organized by West Bengal Pollution Control Board (PCB) and secured 2nd runner up position in this inter-college quiz competition.
5) In the session of 2022-23 our students won the first runner up position in intra-college quiz competition organized by Department of Bengali on the occasion of West Bengal Day Celebration.
