DEROZIO MEMORIAL COLLEGE

The future plans of the institution are:

1 To  introduce new programmes of study eg Biochemistry , Microbiology, Bioinformatics Genomics etc.;

2 To introduce new job oriented  courses in collaboration with industries;

3 To upgrade the ICT enabled conference room, and  auditorium with expansion of  the seating capacity; 

4 To set up hostel facilities for outstation students , especially female students;

5 To install additional Solar panels on the college rooftop in order to reduce expenditure on electricity;

6 To install a lift so that the Divyangjan and other elderly stakeholders can travel to the upper floors of the college with ease;

7 To introduce BEd courses in the morning shift on the basis of a MOU signed with Viharilal College of Education, Kolkata; 

8 To fully upgrade the Health Unit of the college and requisition need based services of  doctors;

9  To provide additional Divyangjan support like audio books , Braille system, eatery, special studio etc.;’ 

10. To seek affiliation for regular PG courses from Universities in West Bengal so that outgoing degree students of the college can avail of the opportunity for higher studies in the campus itself;

11. To implement RFID and allied technologies in the Central Library;

12. To purchase more equipments for the Gymnasium and appoint one physical trainer;

13. To make the resources of the Central Library available for the common people;

14. To introduce MOOCs courses through SWAYAM portal designed by the faculties of the college;

15. To build one local history corner in the Central Library where artefacts including documents and other relics bearing the cultural heritage of Rajarhat and adjoining areas would be exhibited and preserved;
