The college is proud to have a strong National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit. The objective of NCC is to enable the students to face real life challenges and sharpen their decision making abilities. Unity and Discipline are the motto for the NCC. The aims of NCC are to develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens.
The intake capacity of the NCC unit is 105 cadets. The unit is under the control of 19 Bengal Battalion, NCC. The officials from Fort William, Kolkata visit the college campus regularly to train the NCC Volunteers. The major activities of the NCC Units are of two types—Regular Activities and Participation in Camps. All the Cadets in the unit are encouraged to join camps. Those who successfully complete the camping activities are allowed to sit for B and C Certificate Test. The regular activities include celebration of Independence Day, Republic Day, Swachh Bharat Abhijan, Traffic Control Training and participation in all seminars and conferences organized by the college.
