Career Counselling Cell of Derozio Memorial College is committed towards providing excellent support to students for their career choices. It explores possible options for students, arranges orientation programmes and also regular seating. It empowers students by helping them to discover their true potential and enabling them to use their knowledge and strength for practical use.

CONSTITUTION AND MODE OF OPERATIONS OF THE CELL
The Cell is constituted with the following teaching and non-teaching faculties :

 Aims/Objectives of Counselling:

1.   To help in all-round development of students.
2.   To help nurture proper choice of interests.
3.   To help the students in vocational development.
4.   To develop readiness for choices and changes to face challenges.
5.   To ensure the proper utilisation of time spent outside the classrooms.
6.   To minimise the incidence of indiscipline.

 Roles of Career Counselling Cell:

Our college helps its students to build up a secured and steady future life. In this regard, Counselling Cell helps to guide the students regarding various opportunities and potentials to face their challenges. The cell is engaged in the following activities throughout the year:

1. Carrer counselling Seminars/workshops (on career prospects in higher studies and jobs in government and private sectors)

2. Personal Counselling  (with one dedicated professor in each department for subject-specific career counselling)

3. Personal Psychological Support (offered by the Department of Education to help students overcome challenges, obstacles, and personal problems)

4. Counselling Sessions (conducted by psychologists of repute to help students come out of their inhibitions and freely discuss different perturbing issues and get solutions for the same)
