History

The College was established in 1996 as a result of the hearty co-operation of the inhabitants of Rajarhat locality and the sincere effort and the sincere effort and strict supervision of Sri Rabindranath Mondal, Ex-MLA. It is exemplary that people belonging to different strata of the society donated blood and collected money to raise funds for the establishment of the college. The foundation of the college is marked by the earnest desire of various eminent personalities and associations to promote higher education in the locality. On 8th March, 1996 the foundation stone of the new college building was laid by the then Higher Education Minister, Sri Satyasadhan Chakraborty. Initially, evening classes were held at Ramkumar Kamala Vidyalaya in Kali Park from 19th September, 1996. The former Chief minister Late Jyoti Basu inaugurated the new college building on 4th October, 1997. Though this college is young in its age, it has succeeded in achieving several goals in its twenty-years span and is progressing with a positive attitude towards a brighter future.
